The City of Columbiana is seeking an individual to direct the finance operations of the municipality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Finance is the fiscal officer of the city, directs the Finance Department; serves as financial advisor to the City Manager, Mayor, and Council; and ensures compliance with Local Codes and State and Federal Laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting; a minimum of five (5) years public sector finance experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and Financial Management Software. (Software Solutions VIP Software is an ideal match)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be bondable.

The Part-time Public Safety Dispatcher position offers a starting hourly pay range of $13.50 – $15.19 per hour, which is set by ordinance.
The Columbiana Police Department provides dispatching services to the Village of Leetonia. The part-time dispatchers shall receive a two dollar ($2.00) per hour pay supplement for each hour worked . This pay supplement shall be considered an hourly stipend for providing the Village of Leetonia dispatching services and shall not be considered a part of the employee’s base hourly rate. The pay supplement shall only be paid if the City is providing dispatching services to the Village of Leetonia (i.e. Fire/EMS and Police Dispatching Services). If the City discontinues providing dispatching services to the Village of Leetonia at any time, then the pay supplement/stipend shall cease immediately effective the final pay period in which services were provided to the Village.
