Omni Fiber is Building a New Fiber-Optic Network in our Community
Residents may soon see Omni Fiber construction crews working throughout the city as the company expands access to fiber-optic internet, TV, and phone services.
What Residents Can Expect
Construction will take place within the public right-of-way and utility easements. Omni Fiber and its construction partners may:
- Use existing electric utility poles where possible.
- Install fiber underground within utility rights-of-way.
- Access utility easements located on or near private property.
- Mark existing utility lines with flags and paint.
- Temporarily dig in certain locations to verify existing utility lines.
- Install underground conduit and access vaults.
- Install and connect fiber-optic cables to create the new network.
Residents may notice temporary construction activity in yards, along streets, sidewalks, or other public areas. Omni Fiber and its construction teams will make every effort to minimize disruptions and restore areas affected by construction to their previous condition once work is complete. Construction in a particular area may take several weeks. Final restoration may be delayed due to weather or other conditions.
