Idris Phillips is an American born Singer, Songwriter, Producer and multi-instrumentalist who has a career spanning over 30 years.
As a traveler and performer, Idris toured the USA and Canada extensively, as well as Europe, Asia, South Africa and Australia under numerous monikers, performing as both a solo Artist and as a member of countless Jazz, Rock and Blues ensembles.
Recently he has turned his focus on producing artists from around the world and performing at benefits and humanitarian events to help the plight of those less fortunate.
The list of world renowned artists Idris has backed, opened for, recorded alongside or joined as a co-writer is staggering. His use of Asian and Middle Eastern rhythms set against Jazz, Folk, and R&B arrangements ensures his material hold a universal appeal which has given him the privilege to open for or perform with artists from different genres such as Richie Havens, Joe Pass, Moss Allison just to name a few.
